Selected with much deliberation from a list of close to 150 submissions, we’re pleased to announce that the roster below will be joining a murderer’s row of SCOTT MORSE’s friends and colleagues in the pages of

THIS INK RUNS COLD—SPACE/CRIME

This will be, in part, drawn ON THE CON FLOOR at SDCC 2024. Come by FRIDAY THROUGH SUNDAY, July 26-28, to see some of these stories come to life in real time, pencilled and ink washed on the spot as we celebrate the craft of making comics with real media…old skool.

With nearly 150 submissions and only 24 slots allotted to our submission process, you may find that your name didn’t make this list. Rest assured, the quality of your work is likely not the reason—we wanted to craft a holistic volume of CRIME and SCI-FI themed stories that readily fit into a 1-page format with clarity and resolution. A future volume is already being considered that may widen the possibilities for varied themes and content, so please, don’t let this define your potential in any way. Every submission was read, pondered, and enjoyed.
